Deputy Ghana Captain Andre Dede Ayew is edging closer to his £16 million move to West Ham as replacement for Dimitri Payet who is set to leave the Hammers this summer.

The 29-year-old attacking French midfielder was one of the best players in the English Premier league last season scoring nine goals and registering 12 assists in 30 games.

This form brought him to the attention of Europe’s elite with Manchester United joining the queue. Reports in England claim Payet is set to go for £50 million to add flair to Jose Mourinho’s current attack line made up of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wayne Rooney and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Dimitri’s departure will fast-track the Hammers move for Swansea’s Ayew following Slaven Bilic’s earlier approach to give the Ghanaian about £75,000 a week to add variety to his attack. Andre Ayew was one of Swansea’s best players last season after scoring 12 goals for the Welsh.
