The former Swansea marksman was substituted on 34th minute in the first half of their Premier League opener against Chelsea after sustaining a thigh injury.
West Ham coach Slaven Bilic told reporters in a post-match interview “Ayew has a thigh injury. He told me it's not a big one. He'll have a scan on Tuesday (today)."
The 26-year-old is expected to miss West Ham Europa League match.
