Arnautovic fires Hammers warning

West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic has called on his side to be more clinical in front of goal to ensure they secure their first points of the season as soon as possible.

The Hammers have opened the new Premier League season with a 4-0 defeat at Liverpool and a 2-1 home reverse at the hands of Bournemouth, with their next assignment a Saturday trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.

We can't do what we did last season and play one half good and the other half bad.

And Arnautovic, who scored from the penalty spot against the Cherries, is well aware of how important it is to get the first point or points of the campaign on the board,

He told the club's official website: "Against Bournemouth we did a good job in the first half, but I think it's still not enough because we need to be more clinical. If we had been more clinical, we could have scored more goals.

"But then in the second half we didn't create any chances, we dropped back and we can't do what we did last season and play one half good and the other half bad.

"We know it's only two games in, but last season we said 'it's only five games in' or 'it's only ten games in' and we struggled, so we need to pick up as soon as possible."

The Irons are without a win in their last six meetings with the Gunners, having been thrashed 4-1 in the clash between the two sides at the Emirates late last season.

The visitors can be backed at 9/2 to claim a draw on Saturday, with Arnautovic 12/5 to score at any time, while Arsenal are 8/1 to secure a 2-0 victory.
