Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in signing 24-year-old forward Alvaro Morata from Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

The Spanish striker has threatened to leave the Bernabeu due to lack of game on the pitch. The club President, Florentino Pérez has confirmed that he can leave the club for a fee of €60million. (£50.8m)

This season, in 25 appearances, Morata has scored 9 goals and provided 4 assists for his current side Madrid.

However, unfortunately for Morata, French boss Zidane prefers his compatriot Karim Benzema in the starting eleven.

Therefore, Morata isn't getting enough gametime on the pitch. Sparking rumours and speculations that he wants to depart the club in pursuit of first team football.

The Spaniard has reportedly been linked with a big money move to the Premier League, Arsenal are the one team that have the most strength to lure him in. Joining the likes of Alexis Sanchez and German international Mesut Ozil, Morata will make Arsenals attack deadly for any opposition.

Is Morata the signing that would win the Gunners silverware? However, it's not like Arsenal are lacking options upfront, with the likes of Danny Welbeck, Oliver Giroud, Lucas Perez and Alexis Sanchez, does Wenger need to splash out £50m on a new centre forward?

However, if the unsettled Diego Costa leaves the blue side of London, Morata will become a key target for Chelsea arethey arewilling to spend big money to get him.

The Daily Mirror claims that Arsenal have already made a contract offer to Morata, along with other Premier League clubs, and he is tempted by the deal that is on the table.

And The Daily Starhave stated, Arsenal's offer is the best and Morata is prepared to accept the package in the summer providing Arsene Wenger comes up with the cash.
