The 28-year-old, who was not named in coach Otto Addo's 33 man squad has been on the sidelines since sustaining a thigh injury in the Gunners' 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace - missing the rest of the 2021/22 season.

Partey commenced individual training before the end of the Premier League season, but he did not fully recover in time to take part in the action.

He made 24 league appearances for Arsenal so far this season, scored two goals and provided one assist in the process.

The former Atletico Madrid midfielder scored in Ghana's 1-1 draw against the Super Eagles of Nigeria during the second leg of the World Cup playoff as the Black Stars book qualification to the global showpiece in Qatar.
