According to The Athletic, Arsenal are still eager to snap up Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas Partey, despite talks with Olympic Lyon for Houssem Aouar.
Partey currently has a 50 million euro release clause and Atletico Madrid are seeking for the money to be paid upfront for his services. They already rejected Arsenal's offer of cash plus a player for him.
In the case of Aouar, Lyon want about 60 million euros for him but could take the money in installments. Arsenal are also close to announcing the return of Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.
According to reports, Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with Partey and all that is left for them is to meet Atletico Madrid's demands.
