Arsenal urged to replace Thomas Partey with Everton midfielder

Former Arsenal player Ray Parlour has urged the Gunners to consider securing Everton midfielder Amadou Onana as a potential replacement for the sidelined Thomas Partey.

Partey has been absent from the Gunners’ lineup since October, missing out on the African Cup of Nations with Ghana due to persistent injury concerns. The defensive midfielder’s recurring injuries have led to prolonged periods of absence during his time in north London.

Currently undergoing warm weather training with his teammates in Dubai, the 30-year-old’s return to selection remains uncertain.

Speaking to BettingSites.co.uk, Parlour said “Everybody’s available and I know Everton probably need a bit of money as well to come in.

“That’s where Arsenal might be a little bit cheeky and say to Everton, ‘we can give you this for Onana, take it or leave it’, see what Everton say.”

Partey has made just four league appearances and featured in five matches overall across all competitions this season, prompting speculation about potential reinforcements in Arsenal’s midfield.
