Ghana legend, Asamoah Gyan has lauded Daniel Amartey for his show of patience and character after returning to action in the English Premier League for his Leicester City side for the first time in 2 years.

Amartey, 25, missed the entire 2019/2020 English Premier League season as a result of a knee injury that kept him on the sidelines for most parts of the campaign.

After 23 months, the Black Stars asset finally tasted English top-flight football on Sunday when he lasted 90 minutes in Leicester City’s 5-2 win against Manchester City.

Reacting to the story of Daniel Amartey, Asamoah Gyan has acknowledged the importance of character and positive attitude as he welcomes his compatriot back to playing in the big time.

“Patience, Character, and positive attitude is an important aspect of this our trade called football... it’s been 2 years...welcome back bro, keep your head, I thank God for your life and career Daniel Amartey”, Gyan posted on his Twitter.

On the Matchday, Amartey played in midfield for Leicester City and lasted the entire duration of the game with high ratings.
