Asante Kotoko captain Danlad Ibrahim has shared his excitement after returning to the team in their game against Bechem United last Sunday.

The former Ghana youth goalkeeper has missed a couple of games in the ongoing Ghana Premier League after falling down the pecking order at the club.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has managed just nine appearances across competition for the Porcupine Warriors as Frederick Asare and Moise Pouaty have been the preferred choice for coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

Having missed a chunk of games, Danlad returned to the team in their game against Bechem United in matchday 24 of the domestic top-flight.

He delivered an outstanding performance, making crucial saves to deny their opponent from scoring as Kotoko secured a point at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park last Sunday.

However, the shot stopper has taken to social media to express his joy to return to the pitch after long absence.

“Good to be back on the pitch last weekend +1 point from away game with a clean sheet. Unto the next game” he wrote on Instagram.

Asante Kotoko will play host to Nsoatreman FC in matchday 25 of the Ghana Premier League on Thursday.

And Danlad Ibrahim will be hoping to cement his place in the team.
