Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has pleaded with the club’s medical team to treat injured players quickly in time for their upcoming CAF Champions League clash.

The Porcupine Warriors will make a trip to Mauritania to take on FC Nouadhibou in Mauritania on Friday. The second leg encounter will held in Ghana with the winner set to play either Al Hilal or Uganda Vipers.

Ahead of the game, the Reds have four key players on the sidelines including skipper Felix Annan, Augustine Okrah, Latif Anabila and Mudasiru Salifu.

Coach Konadu believes the injuries have denied his team some quality and wants the medical team to try their best to make available some of the injured players for the encounter.

"We only want to plead with our medical team to do their best to get some of our guys on the injury list back onto the field because we need everybody [for the game]," he said.

"We will continue to prepare and train hard and make sure that we’ll go and make ourselves proud over there," he concluded.
