Asante Kotoko Seydou Zerbo was impressed with the performance of his side in their stalemate against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors put out a spirited performance when they shared the spoils with their sworn-rivals in matchday three of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara stadium.

In the 57th minute, Yussif Mubarik reacted quickly in the box to scramble home to give Kotoko the lead.

But Caleb Amankwah scored late to give Hearts of Oak a point against in the first Super Clash of the season.

Kotoko thought they had won all three points minutes to the end, but Amankwah stunned them with a goal in the 88th minute to save the day for the Phobians, who clearly were second best on the afternoon in Kumasi.

At the post-match conference, the Burkinabe trainer expressed delight about the performance of the team despite failing to win.

“I saw a very good match and the rhythm of the game was very active, in fact I am very impressed about today’s game”

Asante Kotoko will take on Nsoatreman FC in an outstanding Ghana Premier League game on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
