Asante Kotoko defender Nurudeen Yussif Mohammed says personal glory must take a back seat for the club to triumph on all fronts this season.

Nurudeen, who joined the Porcupine Warriors before the start of the campaign has been a standout performer despite the club’s unimpressive performance in the ongoing campaign.

The former Real Tamale united defender has emerged as the Player of the Month for October. He was recognized for his explosive display in the month of October.

Speaking to the club’s media, Nurudeen asserted he is more concerned about the collective target of the team than his glory.

“I’m not here for personal glory, I’m here to win the league with the club and also to give my all. If we are not getting the results, it means we have to up our game and probably when we up our game it will lead to the success of the club. The most important thing is for the club to win more matches to win the trophy” he said.

Asante Kotoko are currently 14th position on the Ghana Premier League standings with 10 points after nine games.

The Porcupine Warriors are away to Sameraboi to face Samartex in the week 10 fixture on Sunday.
