Asante Kotoko defender Richmond Lamptey has been voted as the 2022/23 Player of the Season by the Kum Apem supporters group for his sterling performance for the club.
Lamptey, who is the deputy captain of the Ghanaian giants has been presented with a plaque for emerging as the best player last season.
The former Inter Allies marksman made 27 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors lasts season, scoring just a goal in the process. Kotoko finished fourth last season with 52 points.

Also, I thank my coaches, teammates and the fabulous fans because it couldn't have been possible without them. Am grateful ❤️⚽🇦🇹” he wrote on X.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been impressive in the ongoing campaign for Kotoko, providing five assists in 13 appearances so far.
His was part of the Black Stars that represented Ghana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to his swashbuckling performance to the Ghanaian giants.
Kotoko are currently second on the Premier League table with 32 points, three points behind leaders Samartex.
