Asante Kotoko Life Patron pledges highest salaries in Ghana Premier League amidst club crisis

In a bold move to address the ongoing crisis within Asante Kotoko, the club's Life Patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, has declared his readiness to pay his players higher salaries than any other club in the Ghana Premier League.

The statement was made during a crucial meeting called by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Thursday, April 18, at his Manhyia residence to tackle the club's ongoing problems.

The meeting was a response to escalating tensions within the club, which reached a boiling point when supporters disrupted a training session, demanding the resignation of coach Ogum due to the club's poor performance in the league.

The meeting saw the participation of key stakeholders, including players, coaching staff, and the Interim Management Committee (IMC).

Asante Kotoko's recent form in the league has been less than impressive, with the club losing four and drawing one of their last five games. Despite these challenges, Otumfuo Osei Tutu remains committed to turning the club's fortunes around.

"I am ready to pay more salaries to my players than any Ghana Premier League club," Otumfuo Osei Tutu affirmed at the meeting. This move is expected to boost the morale of the players and potentially improve their performance on the field.

The club is set to face league leaders Samartex in match week 27, a game that could be a turning point in their season.
