Asante Kotoko makes a return to sign Justice Blay permanently from Medeama SC

Asante Kotoko have swiftly moved to sign Justice Blay from Medeama SC ahead of their Caf Champions League campaign next season.

The 23 times Ghana Premier League giants have been selected to represent Ghana in next year's Champions League following the notification of the 2019/20 football season by the Executive Committee of teh Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Tuesday, June 30.

The midfielder who joined the Porcupine Warriors on a season-long loan has returned to his mother club, Medeama after his loan spell expired.

But according to a report by Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, the Board of Directors of Kotoko have started negotiations to land the 28-year-old.

Blay joined Asante Kotoko on a one-year loan deal from Medeama SC prior to their 2019/20 CAF Inter-club competitions campaign.

He played an instrumental role in Asante Kotoko campaign in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup this term.

Blay scored two goals in his 13 league appearances for Asante Kotoko in the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Meanwhile, the club have been banned from signing new players for a year by Otumfou Osei Tutu II.
