Asante Kotoko striker George Abege rejected by several GPL clubs

Ugandan striker George Abege faces an uncertain future as several Ghana Premier League clubs rejected the chance to sign the out-of-favour Asante Kotoko striker in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.

The former Kariobangi Sharks forward has been turned by most clubs for a loan deal, having been deemed surplus to requirement by the Porcupine Warriors for 2019/20 season.

The club is eager to loan out the 26-year-old before the transfer window closes next week.

The lanky striker has been struggling for regular playing time since his arrival at the Kumasi-based club from Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks last year.

Footballghana.com understands that Asante Kotoko contacted King Faisal and Techiman Eleven Wonders to sign him on a season-long loan deal but the clubs not ready to complete the deal.

Abege could be released by the club if no club shows interest in acquiring his services in the coming days.
