Asante Kotoko terminate Nii Adjei's contract and four others

Asante Kotoko have terminated the contracts of five players mutually ahead of the CAF Champions League next month following their poor performance, according to kickgh.com.

The list includes veterans Daniel Nii Adjei and Stephen Nyarko who joined the club in 2018 prior to the start of their CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season.

Veteran striker Obed Owusu has also been released by the Porcupine Warriors after spending almost six seasons at the club.

Kotoko have also parted ways with Ivorian striker Teguy Zabo Danny and former West African Football Academy SC midfielder Umar Basiru after seven months.

The five abovementioned players were released by the Porcupine Warriors after their head coach, Kjetil Zachariassen declared them as surplus to requirement.

According to reports, five other players will be released by the Porcupine Warriors in the coming days before the start of the new season.
