Ashanti Gold SC have parted ways with four players ahead of the start of the new season after failing to live up to expectation at the club.

The Miners have terminated the contracts of Benedict Wobenu who joined on a free transfer prior to the start of the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Defender Atta Kusi who also joined them last year has left the club.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Isaac Quansah and Stephen Owusu Banahene have both been released following their poor perofrmance at the club.

The Miners are currently making plans for the CAF Confederations Cup after they were selected by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following the truncation of the 2019/20 football season.

Ashgold have already started strengthening their squad for the CAF Inter-club competition following the signing of former Ghana Premier League topscorer Hans Kwofie and Yahaya Mohammed of Aduana Stars.
