Ghana Premier League giants Ashanti Gold SC are set to complete the signing of Maxwell Baakoh for the upcoming season, according to GHANAsoccernet.com.
The Miners are in advanced negotiations with Baakoh as they close in on their key transfer target.
The 25-year-old couldn't register for Asante Kotoko SC for the 2020/2021 after rejecting a contract extension.
His contract with Porcupine Warriors expired about a week ago.
Baakoh will join the Ashgold on a short-term contract with an option to extend.
He joined Asante Kotoko in 2018 from Karela United FC and play a key role when the team reached the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup having scored twice in 7 matches.
The highly-rated winger was an instrumental member of the Wa All Stars team that won the Ghana Premier League in 2016.
