Ashanti Gold SC step up chase for striker Yahaya Mohammed

Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC has stepped up their efforts to sign striker Yahaya Mohammed with reports indicating that the club has reached an agreement with Aduana Stars on the transfer fee.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko remains one of the most lethal forwards on the local scene even at age 32.

In the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season, the attacker displayed excellent form before the campaign was unfortunately canceled as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

His exploits have caught the eye of Ashanti Gold SC, a club that is currently making preparations for the next football season where they will be participating in the CAF Confederations Cup competition.

Today, reports picked up from sources have revealed that the Miners club has been able to agree on a transfer fee with Aduana Stars to sign Yahaya Mohammed.

Talks are far advanced with the veteran striker likely to complete his transfer to the Obuasi-based club very soon.

Yahaya Mohammed last season made 15 appearances for Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League where he netted 11 goals.
