The new gaffer is coming at a time when the fate of the side’s aspiration in the second-tier inter-club competition hangs on the balance after losing the first leg to the Miners 3-2 at the Len Clay Sports Stadium last Saturday.

As they continue preparation for the deciding second leg, Tarik has been brought on board to replace Mounir Jaouaani who was in the dugout for the North African club when they visited the Ghanaian club.

“Tarik Sektioui is the new manager of RS Berkane, replacing Mounir Jaouaani. The former Porto winger is coming from Moghreb Tétouan, where he didn’t lead the team in a single match before terminating his contract. This will be his first big test as head coach”, a statement on RS Bekane’s Twitter handle read today.

The gaffer played for the likes of Auxerre, Willem II, AZ Alkmaar, Porto, Ajman club and Maghreb Fez during his playing career and also made 18 appearances for the Foxes between 2001 and 2008.
