Domenico Toscano, the manager of Italian Serie B side, Avellino is hopeful that Patrick Asmah will be able to perform the dual role attacking and defending in the next season.

Asmah who played at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand was loaned to Avellino after impressing in for the Primavera squad of his parent club, Atlanta Bergamo.

"Asmah made seven appearances in the Atlanta Primavera and he demonstrated what he was capable of.

"This is why we purchased him on loan but we are hopeful of making the deal permanent if he impresses during his stay."

Coach Toscano described Asmah as a naturally left-footed player who can play all the left-sided roles on the pitch.

The former Accra United player joined Atlanta on a four-year deal after impressing on loan in the Ghana Premier League with BA United.
