Baba Armando wants Starlets team to be well monitored

Former Black Stars player Baba Armando insists there is a lot of prospects in the current Black Starlets team and wants them to be monitored and maintained for the future.

 

The Black Starlets have thrilled the football world with some exciting performances beating host Gabon and Cameroon in their first two games of the Africa Junior Championship.

 

Captain of the Eric Ayiah lead the goals scoring chart with four goals, Emmanuel Toku and Ibrahim Sulley have each scored twice and Baba Armando believes the talents of these players can be honed for future gain.

 

“You see this under-17 team they should keep them. Our leaders should keep this team and should not joke with them,” he told Happy FM.

 

“We allsaw the Dede Ayew group in 2009,they were good but later on they all disperse and there were some additions and exclusions but this group, I’m appealing to the leaders of football to maintain and groom this players to some level. In the future they will do well for the country,” he added.

 

Baba Armando went through the ranks before becoming a Black Stars player.

 

The Black Starlets have qualified for the world cup in India and are looking at win the Africa Junior Championship.
