Marca says Barcelona remain hopeful that a last-minute agreement can be reached.
One of the reasons for Barcelona's optimism is that Livepool's recent activity in the market suggests they are planning for life without the Brazilian. They have signed Naby Keita, although he will not arrive until 2018, and are also looking at Monaco's Thomas Lemar.
Though Liverpool have not confirmed it, several English media speak of a closed agreement for 160 million euros (fixed sum + variables).
Barcelona are still waiting, but they face a problem with such limited time remaining in the window.
