The Uruguayan suffered an injury to his knee during the final stages of Wednesday night's match and it has been confirmed that he will miss four to five weeks of action.
As well as missing Barcelona's fixtures over the next month, the striker will also be unavailable for his national team's World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Paraguay.
