Bayer Leverkusen, the German professional football club, will reportedly demand around 40 million euros for their highly-rated defender Jeremie Frimpong.

Frimpong, who joined the club in January 2021 from Celtic, has quickly become a key player in Leverkusen's backline, impressing with his pace, technical ability, and defensive prowess.

Jeremie Frimpong has had a fantastic season for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Top clubs were drawn to his eight goals and five assists in 26 Bundesliga games. According to Sky, Manchester United has made the next move in its pursuit of the pacey right-back.

The pay station reported that the team and agents of the 22-year-old Dutchman have now held their first formal discussions.

The defender intends to move on in the summer. Manchester United is regarded as a very appealing choice. A move for the Premier League team, on the other hand, should not be cheap. Frimpong has a current working document at the Werkself until 2025.

"I can well imagine that Leverkusen will demand around 40 million euros. I don't think Leverkusen can keep him. I hear that the bosses would also sell it for a corresponding price," says Sky reporter Marlon Irlbacher, assessing the situation.

"With the Brazilian Arthur, his potential successor signed at the Werkself at the weekend,"
