Dutch defender of Ghanaian descent, Jeremie Frimpong looks set to leave Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.

The former Manchester City academy boy has in the last few years developed his game and is now a transfer target of several top clubs in Europe.

As has been reported by footballghana early this week, Manchester United are leading the race to sign Jeremie Frimpong.

Today reports coming in from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano are that Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona are both interested in the player.

The two clubs are set to rival Manchester United for the services of Jeremie Frimpong.

“Not just Manchester United. Understand FC Bayern and Barcelona have also had direct meetings with Jeremie Frimpong’s agent Jeffrey Lemmert

“Bayern priority is to decide on Cancelo in May; Barça situation unclear due to FFP. Frimpong, on #MUFC list since October,” Fabrizio reported on Thursday.
