The management of the club confirmed the contract extension earlier this afternoon with a post on their Twitter handle.

“Experienced Goalkeeper, Ben Mensah signs contract extension”, the statement read.

Ben Mensah despite the new contract is expected to be the third-choice goalkeeper for the Phobians. He has been playing second to youngster Richmond Ayi but the recent signing of Richard Attah means that he takes another step back.

However, his experience will come in handy in a season which promises to be long especially when the Ghana Premier League has been expanded from 16 to 18 clubs.
