Ghanaian international Benjamin Tetteh has seen his debut for new club Yeni Malatyaspor being delayed as a result of an injury setback.

The exciting winger joined the Turkish Super Lig outfit on a season-long loan on September 5, 2020, to give the team a squad boost for the 2020/2021 football season.

Though he had trained with the club ahead of the past weekend, Benjamin Tetteh could not feature when Yeni Malatyaspor visited the Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı on Saturday to take on Fatih Karagümrük on the opening weekend of the football season.

Following further checks, it has been revealed that the 23-year old missed the match as a result of a hamstring injury.

At the end of the encounter, Yeni Malatyaspor lost 3-0 to the Turkish Super Lig newcomers.

Tetteh is expected to stay in the treatment room this week but should be back on the field next weekend when he recovers.
