Berekum Chelsea pays tribute to Sadick Adams after retirement

Ghana Premier League outfit Berekum Chelsea have paid glowing tribute to former player Saddick Adams who has retired from the game.

The former Ghana youth star took to social media to announce his retirement from football on Thursday, having been inactive for two years.

Tributes have poured in following his retirement, with his former club Chelsea joining the masses to eulogizes Saddick Adams.

“You have paid your dues to Berekum Chelsea Fc and Ghana Football Association. You earned yourself a legendary status of the club. Saddick Adams officially retire from active football. Best wishes Capito” the club wrote on Facebook.

Throughout his career, Adams represented 16 clubs, including Berekum Chelsea, Asante Kotoko, Ashanti Gold, Atlético Madrid B, Vojvodina, Étoile du Sahel, Shabab Bourj, Arambagh KS, and others.

Adams rose to prominence during the 2007 African Under-17 Championship and the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup. His performances caught the attention of World Soccer Magazine, which named him one of the 50 Most Exciting Teenagers on the Planet that same year, alongside former Ghana striker Ransford Osei.
