Ghana Premier League side, Berekum Chelsea have distanced themselves from their CEO Nana Oduro Sarfo after he made some shocking comments on Accra-based radio station Angel FM recently.

During the said interview, Sarfo made it clear that he had developed a dead goat syndrome and does not care about the response he will get.

He stated: "The footballers who played on the pitch are they not the same payers who play on "sakora pitches" literally means sandy pitches. Are they not playing on Monday Special 'Sakora' pitches"

"I am Ghana FA Executive Council member and so what...I have developed a dead goat syndrome, you can say whatever you want to say about me but I don't care."

The CEO of Berekum Chelsea also expressed indifference to his team's pitch.

"I didn't beg you to call me. I am watching a Nigerian movie now, that's precious to me."

"I have finished playing the game, if you have qualms go and collect the points. Nobody has tasked you to enquire why we played football on that pitch. If pictures are going around, what hasn't happened before."

"Is football dead, why don't you face the reality. I have finished playing the game, go and collect the points. I did not take anybody's money before playing the game. I invested in my own game. That's it. Forget it!!!"

"We have played the game on the pitch, if you're unhappy we don't care. We shall continue to play on the pitch."

Berekum Chelsea issued an official statement distancing themselves from the comments made by the CEO, stating that Oduro Sarfo is speaking for his own self and not for the club.
