Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Morrison has expressed his excitement after scoring for Simba SC as they lifted the 2020 Community Shield trophy on Sunday.

The 27-year-old put up a Man of the Match performance as his side beat Namungo SC 2-0 in the cup match which serves as a curtain-raiser for the start of a new football season in Tanzania.

Skipper John Bocco opened the scoring for Simba SC in the 7th minute of the game from the penalty spot after Morrison had been brought down in the box.

After the break, the Ghanaian international registered his name on the scoresheet to double the lead for Simba SC in the 60th minute at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Memorial Stadium in Arusha.

The victory sees Bernard Morrison win his first trophy with his new club Simba SC, having joined them earlier this month after leaving arch-rivals Young Africans SC.
