Black Galaxies friendly match against FC Samartex cancelled

The Ghana Football Association has announced that Black Galaxies friendly match against FC Samartex has been cancelled.

Coach Annor Walker's side were scheduled to face the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side today at 3pm at the Cape Coast stadium.

The game would have been team’s last friendly match in Cape Coast before travelling to Accra on Thursday for the trip to Abuja.

"The Black Galaxies friendly match againstFC Samartex 1996 has been cancelled. The team will continue with preparations for their return encounter against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Abuja," GFA posted on their twitter page.

Coach Annor Walker’s side drew 1-1 with King Faisal in a similar exercise on Tuesday at the Cape Coast stadium as part of the build up to the game against Nigeria.

The Black Galaxies will travel to Abuja on Friday ahead of the return leg of the CHAN qualifier on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Moshood Abeola stadium in Abuja.

Ghana hold a 2-0 advantage from the 1st leg.
