Zambia vs Ghana

The Black Queens of Ghana will not feature in the women’s tournament of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

This follows a 4-3 aggregate defeat to the Copper Queens of Zambia in the third round of the qualifiers for the Games.

The first leg of the encounter was played at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana last Friday.

Despite dominating the game, Ghana’s Black Queens lost 1-0 at the end of the 90 minutes.

Today, the Black Queens locked horns with the Copper Queens in Zambia in the reverse fixture.

After putting up a good fight, the Black Queens managed to avoid defeat but could not secure the needed result to overcome the opponent.

Goals from Gifty Assifuah, Doris Boaduwaa, and Azumah Bugre helped the Black Queens to hold the Copper Queens to a 3-3 draw.

This brings the aggregate score to 4-3 in favour of the Copper Queens as Zambia advances to the final round of the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.
