Black Starlets player Emmanuel Toku wants to win AJC trophy

Black Starlets winger Emmanuel Toku says the team wants to win the Africa Junior Championship after qualifying for the world Cup to be held in India.

 

Ghana last won the Africa Junior Championship in 1999 and were runners up in 2005.

 

Emmanuel Toku who has been in fine form in the competition was named man of the match in the game against Gabon- a game he scored a brace.

 

“We are very ready to win the trophy. We want to win the cup. It’s been a while that Ghana won this trophy and our badge is bent on winning it to make Ghana proud,” he said.

 

Emmanuel Toku also called for support from Ghanaians insisting they will need their prayers to sustain their impressive run.

 

“All we need from Ghanaians is the prayers and support. We also promise them we will do all win can to win the trophy for them,” he added.

 

The Black Starlets will play Guinea on Saturday in the final group game.
