Black Stars players must wholeheartedly play and sacrifice for the nation - Henry Asante Twum

Ghana Football Association spokesman Henry Asante Twum has urged Black Stars players to play their hearts out for Ghana anytime they wear the jersey.

He added that when they play wholeheartedly for the nations they will be honoured for their efforts.

Ghana will meet Angola in a double header this month for a spot in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Cote D'Ivoire in January of next year.

The Black Stars will meet Palancras Negras at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23, 2023, before traveling to Luanda for the rematch on March 27, 2023.

"They (Black Stars players) know that anything they do on the field of play, Ghanaians are watching because they are ambassadors. When you are selected among the final 26 or 25 players for a competition, it does not make you exceptionally talented over others but because it's on merit," he told Akoma FM

"There are other players who ordinarily would have had the opportunity but missed out due to limited places. So when allowed to wear the colours of Ghana, you must wholeheartedly play and sacrifice for the nation, and by so doing, the country will honor you,"
