Blame Prosper Narteh Ogum for Asante Kotoko's woes - Kwadwo Baah-Agyemang

Former National Sports Authority (NSA) Board Chairman, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, has attributed Asante Kotoko's recent struggles to head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

The team's woes were further highlighted by a 2-0 loss to Dreams FC in their Matchday 26 fixture at the Theatre of Dreams.

The defeat extends Asante Kotoko's winless streak to eight Premier League games.

Speaking in an interview, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, a former member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, pointed fingers at Ogum for the club's downturn.

"Asante Kotoko's current trajectory is unacceptable. These are the same players who performed in the first round of the Ghana Premier League, so what has changed?" he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

Agyemang further criticized Ogum's handling of team dynamics, alleging that his approach to certain issues and players was suboptimal.

According to Agyemang, Ogum's divisive comments, including labeling some players as "politicians" due to perceived allegiances, have exacerbated tensions within the squad.

He emphasized, "In my view, the root of Asante Kotoko's issues lies with Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach."

The club currently sits in 11th place on the league table with 33 points, prompting calls for decisive action.

Asante Kotoko's next challenge will be against FC Samartex in their Matchday 27 fixture, where Ogum and his team will aim to reverse their fortunes.
