Ghanaian duo Emmanuel Boateng and Raphael Dwamena were in action as Levante were eliminated from Copa del Rey following a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Boateng lasted the entire duration of the games while his compatriot Raphael Dwamena was a second-half substitute.
Boateng paired Borja Mayoral up front but were neutralized by the Catalans. Dwamena- making a return to the Levante squad-replaced Mayoral just after the hour mark.
Lionel Messi set up two of Ousmane Dembele goals and then scoring himself to seal a 4-2 victory on aggregate.
Their place in the quarter-finals, however, is under threat after Levante president Francisco Javier Catalan confirmed shortly before kick-off that the club would lodge a complaint to the Spanish Football Federation on Friday.
Levante claim Barcelona defender Juan Brandariz ‘Chumi’ played illegally in the first leg as he should have been serving a suspension.
Levante will be looking to bounce back to winning when they host Valladolid in La Liga on Sunday.
