Ghanaian international Emmanuel Boateng was left disheartened last Sunday when he was substituted during a match between his club Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Hadera in the Israeli top flight league.

The hardworking midfielder was handed a starting role and played his part very well throughout the first half of the match.

At the end of a very tough encounter, Hapoel Tel Aviv recorded a narrow 1-0 win against Hapoel Hadera courtesy a strike from Omri Altman in the 23rd minute.

Twenty minutes to end proceedings, Emmanuel Boateng was substituted but was subsequently spotted making some expressions indicating disappointment in the coach’s decision.

Meanwhile, explaining why the decision had to be taken, coach Nir Klinger shared that it was necessary because of his physical condition of the 22-year old midfielder.
