Bournemouth winger Gradel happy to have fresh start

Bournemouth attacker Max Gradel has stated that he is looking to make a fresh start at the Vitality Stadium.

Gradel joined Bournemouth two seasons ago amid much hype but the attacker has failed to impress at the Vitality Stadium and it looked like he would be leaving the Cherries this summer, with Sunderland said to be interested in his services.

Surprisingly though, Gradel seemingly looks set to be staying put at Bournemouth this summer and following the 2-1 friendly victory over Estoril in Marbella, the Ivorian international has stated that he is planning to make a 'fresh start' at the Vitality during the upcoming campaign.

He said: "It is because I have come a long way. I need to find a fresh point to start and hope I find it now and then, hopefully, I can help my team and my team-mates this season.

"I have a good feeling about this season so aim to keep working hard and make sure I keep doing well. Fitness-wise, it was good to get the first game under my belt and good to finish with a win. It was the first game of the season and it takes time to get back to business.
