The Premier League was scheduled to begin on the weekend of February 9th but relegated side Accra Great Olympics went to court to place an injunction on the commencement of the domestic top flight.

However, the Football Association immediately held their annual congress after the case was thrown out of court on Wednesday. And at the Congress it was proposed that March 2nd and 3rd will be the date for the start of the new campaign.
