English Premier League side, Brentford, released Ghana forward Tariqe Fosu as his contract will expire at the end of June ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Fosu, who joined the Bees from Oxford United in January 2020, had a notable stint with the club, making 63 appearances and scoring five goals.

During Brentford's promotion-winning campaign in the 2020/21 season, the 27-year-old was instrumental, featuring in 39 matches and contributing four goals and four assists.

Among his memorable moments was a decisive winning goal against AFC Bournemouth at the Gtech Community Stadium in late December.

Fosu's impressive performances in January earned him a nomination for the PFA Fans' Championship Player of the Month award, as he found the back of the net twice in three league matches.

The Ghanaian marked his Premier League debut as a late substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City in March 2022, gaining valuable top-flight experience.

In the first half of the 2022/23 season, Fosu was loaned out to Sky Bet Championship side Stoke City.

He later made a loan move to Rotherham United in January, where he made 19 appearances and played a vital role in helping the Millers maintain their status in the second tier.
