Burnley midfielder Gudmundsson backing Dyche for England

Burnley midfielder Johann Berg Gudmundsson has tipped manager Sean Dyche for the England job.

Gudmundsson has heaped praise on boss Dyche, who he says has done an “unbelievable" job since the club returned to the top flight.

The Iceland international said, “He has done an unbelievable job with Burnley and I think he will even grow as a manager.

“Hopefully one day he will manage England because I think he has the potential.

“I think it's just a bit weird in England that they keep looking for foreign managers.

“Every team looks abroad but there are good English managers and Sean Dyche is one of them. He is a great manager and he will do great things in the future.

“He's organised and we have good training sessions. He goes through the opposition really well and each week we know both the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition.

“He demands performances from us. Every day we are 100 per cent. We train extremely hard. We never turn up and do a session 50 per cent."
