As the anticipation builds for the prestigious CAF Awards set to unfold in Marrakech on Monday night, football enthusiasts are gearing up to witness the coronation of the continent's finest talents.

The spotlight will once again illuminate the accomplishments of exceptional players in both the Men and Women's categories, an event steeped in the rich history of African football.

With the awards ceremony scheduled to commence at 18h00 GMT, fans across the globe are invited to tune in to the live broadcast on the CAF website and CAF TV. However, before the new champions emerge, it's worthwhile to take a nostalgic journey through time, revisiting the illustrious names that have engraved their legacy on the CAF Awards honor roll.

The list reads like a who's who of African football, featuring the likes of Samuel Eto’o, Yaya Toure, El Hadji Diouf, Mohamed Salah, Nwankwo Kanu, Abedi Ayew Pele, and other luminaries. Among the women, Asisat Oshoala, Perpetua Nkwocha, and Noko Matlou have left an indelible mark.

Notably, the reigning champions, Sadio Mane and Asisat Oshoala, will be defending their crowns in what promises to be a fiercely contested night of celebration and recognition.
