CAF CC: Ghanaian midfielder Paul Acquah bags hat-trick to lead Rivers United to big win

Ghanaian international, Paul Acquah was in action for Rivers United on Thursday afternoon when the team posted a delightful win over Motema Pembe in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Having started the match, the former Hearts of Oak midfielder lasted the entire duration of the Round 4 game in Group B of the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

In the game, today, Rivers United took the lead after 45 minutes when Paul Acquah equalised with a fine strike.

That goal just before the break inspired the side to record a massive 3-1 win in the second half.

After recess, two other goals from Paul Acquah in the 56th and 90th minutes respectively earned Rivers United the three maximum points.

Meanwhile, Kingu Yallet netted the only consolation goal for Motema Pembe.

With his goal today, Paul Acquah now has five goals in 5 games in this season’s CAF Confederations Cup.
