CAF Champions League: Asante Kotoko to face Rail Club de Kadiogo

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will face Burkina Faso side Rail Club de Kadiogo in the first preliminary round of the CAF Champions League

The winner of this tie will play the winner of Gaborone United versus AS Vita Club in the next round.

The first leg will take place between September 9-11, 2022, and the second leg will take place between September 16-18, 2022.

For the first time since 2006, Kotoko has focused its efforts on reaching the Champions League group stage (also known as the money zone).

On Wednesday, the Porcupine Warriors will begin pre-season training in Accra and will travel to Turkey on August 14th to complete preparations for the next season.

The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League champions have so far recruited Ugandan forward Mukwala Steven Dese, and goalkeeper Frederick Asare.

The team will play Nigeria's Rivers United in Turkey as part of their preseason tour.
