CAF Champions League: Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema to handle CR Belouizdad-Medeama final group game

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema Wayesa to officiate the CAF Champions League final Group D game between CR Belouizdad from Algeria and Ghana's Medeama SC.

The 43-year old who has loads of experience in refereeing in Africa and the world including the FIFA World Cup in Russia 2018 will be assisted by compatriots Temesgin Samuel Samuel Atango (Assistant I), Tigle Gizaw Belachew (Assistant Il), Belay Tadesse Asserese (Fourth Official).

Yanfore Issa Yanmien from Niger is the Match Commissioner. Others include Libya's Mohamed Abdalla Mohamed - Referee Assessor, Wajdi Aouadi, General Coordinator from Tunisia and Souleymane Cherif - Security Officer from Côte D'Ivoire.

The game is scheduled for 17H00 kick off at the 5th July 1962 stadium in Algiers on Friday, March 1, 2023.
