CAF Champions League: Medeama fully prepared for Al Ahly – Evans Adotey

Published on: 23 February 2024

Medeama technical director Augustine Evans Adotey says his outfit are physically, technically, tactically and psychologically prepared for Al Ahly.

The CAF Champions League was on a break due to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast but returns this weekend for the penultimate games at the group stage.

The Yellow and Mauves will host the record holders today at the Baba Yara Stadium as both teams seek for favourable results.

Despite admitting Al Ahly are ahead in terms of consistency, Adotey says they are prepared for the crucial game this evening.

“Looking at the upcoming game against Al Ahly, one will bear with me that Al Ahly is a bit up there in terms of consistency because most of their players participated in the just-ended AFCON in Ivory Coast. We also saw them play CR Belouizdad”

“On the part of Medeama, I can testify that the newly appointed coach and under me as the technical director of the team have ensured that all the four pillars of soccer are covered, I mean physically, technically, tactically and psychologically. The players are up there for the game”

Medeama are bottom in Group D with 4 points and must play above themselves to progress to the next stage of the competition.
