CAF Champions League: Morocco referee Rédouane Jiyed to handle Young Africans vs. Medeama clash in Tanzania

CAF has appointed referee Rédouane Jiyed from Morocco to officiate the game between Young Africans and Medeama Sporting Club in Tanzania.

The Ghanaian Champions in their last outing drew 1-1 with Young Africans.

In the next game of the team, the side is travelling to Tanzania for the reverse fixture.

Ahead of the game, CAF has appointed Moroccan referees to officiate the match.

“Rédouane Jiyed from Morocco will handle the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Matchday 4 tie between Young Africans and Ghana’s Medeama SC.

“Compatriots Lahsen Azgaou (Assistant I), Mostafa Akarkad (Assistant II) and Karim Sabry (Fourth Official) will be his assistants for the clash,” a communique from the Ghana FA has confirmed.

It added, “The Confederation of African Football has also appointed Makur Majok Kariom Majok Mabil from South Sudan as the Match Commissioner while Alberto Daniel Razafitsitamy from Madagascar works as Referee Assessor. Uganda’s Ali Mwebe is the General Coordinator with Siyabulela Andisiwe Gantsho from South Africa set for the role of Security Officer.”

The game between Young Africans and Medeama SC will be played on Wednesday, December 20.

The match will kick off at 16:00gmt at the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam.
