The African Football Confederation (CAF) has reportedly decided to adopt video refereeing (VAR) from the group stage of the 2021-2022 Champions League, according to the Egyptian press.

CAF had previously decided to introduce it from the quarter-finals.

As a reminder, it is Wydad de Casablanca, reigning Moroccan champions, and Raja, his runner-up, who represent the country in Africa's most important club competition.

The Reds face Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak. As for Raja, they will be opposed to the Liberians of the LPRC Oilers.

The first leg matches will take place on Sunday, October 17, while the returns are scheduled for the 23 of the same month.
